Characters That Remind Me of Myself: An Essentially Callout Post

If I had a dollar for every time I unhealthily projected my entire identity onto a fictional character, so much that talking about them has basically become a way to expose my deepest, darkest secrets without anyone Knowing, I would probably have enough money to pay for the psychiatric help I obviously need.

I’m just gonna go ahead and post this (in all its abhorrently personal and unspeakably revealing glory) before I grow wise enough to decide against it in 3….2…. Continue reading “Characters That Remind Me of Myself: An Essentially Callout Post”

Mid-year Book Freak Out Tag

me: no fear

*remembers it’s over halfway through 2019 and I’m still a long way from reading all the books I want to read this year*

me: one fear *cue all panic and no disco*

It feels like January was four years ago, March lasted a week and June has completely disengaged from linear time. The last time I did a book tag was maybe….let’s see…three eternities and a half ago? Saying it was long overdue would be something of an understatement. I’ve actually been meaning to do this a month ago but at this point, I procrastinate so much that if I were a vampire, I’d put off getting shit done for CENTURIES. Hell, at this rate, I’ll probably put off death and never die!

Alright, so without further ado, let’s get into the questions! Continue reading “Mid-year Book Freak Out Tag”

Books I WANT to read, but don’t want to READ

For someone who claims to love books, I sure do spend a heck of lot of time not reading them. Today’s post is going to be about books that I want to read but the process of actually picking them up is a parallel to some disgruntled, jaded old man reading the newspaper in the morning, or like, some hapless chap taking doomed steps up a few rickety wooden stairs to a guillotine.

Okay, that escalated way too quickly. But, point is: life is so hard when you have +200 books on your TBR list and very little time or motivation to pick them up.

This amazing tag was created by my friend, Jamieson, at Jamishelves. Thank you so much for tagging me! THIS WAS FUN!

Alright, now, let’s get into the list! Continue reading “Books I WANT to read, but don’t want to READ”

Bookish Naughty Or Nice Tag!

First of all, this tag was a personal attack. I didn’t ask to be called out like this. I don’t deserve this. I’m a good person. (Fine. I’m a mediocre person at best but STILL.)

I was tagged by Mel at meltotheany and it sounded way too fun to pass up! Thank you for the tag, dove! The original creator of this tag, I believe, is Jenniely! Continue reading “Bookish Naughty Or Nice Tag!”

The Blog All Day, Meme All Night Book Tag

Now, I don’t know where I would be as a person and in society without memes.  ½ of my conversational skills consist of memes (the other half is spread unevenly between an ungodly amount of exclamation points, aggressive keysmashing and correct grammar when I’m engaging in internet discourse or sending an email to an adult). No seriously, I express all three of my emotion in single memes presented without commentary. In fact, I can’t wait for someone to fall in love with me so I’ll finally get to use those cheesy memes I’ve been storing for my future significant other…..whoever you are, get ready to receive a 5Go zip file full of memes about love!

So you now have a somewhat faint idea as to why this book tag is firmly inside my circle of interests! Credit goes of course to my dear friend and fellow bisexual disaster Seggy, the original creator of this tag! This was fucking brilliant. Thank you for tagging me! Continue reading “The Blog All Day, Meme All Night Book Tag”

Book blogger confession tag!

My first ever book tag!

First ever” for many reasons: chief of which is the fact that I am actually two stacked sacks of potatoes wearing a trench coat and procrastinating as a performance art, and least of which is that every ounce of said procrastination has been jolted out by the fact that my first blog anniversary is in roughly three months (I think) and there was just no way for my mind to accept the possibility of not contributing at least one book tag.

This one seemed very agreeable and super fun so here we go! Continue reading “Book blogger confession tag!”
